Program Overview

The mission of CJTF-OIR (C3TO), by, with and through regional partners, is to militarily defeat the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) in the Combined Joint Operations Area in order to enable whole-of-coalition governmental actions to increase regional stability. The Coalition strategy acknowledges that the best forces to win the fight against ISIL are local, indigenous forces such as the Government of Iraq (GoI) Iraqi Security Forces (ISS), and the Kurdish Peshmerga. In Syria, the Coalition continues to search for viable partners in opposition forces focused on fighting ISIL.

Minimum Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree OR eight (8) years of direct relevant experience
• Experience: Eight (8) years military experience in Military Intelligence, Strategic Intelligence, Special Operations, Area Intelligence, or Multi INTs within DoD or equivalent Government agencies or equivalent specialty codes such as
  • MOS 35M, 18F, 180A SF WO; OR
  • USMC 0211, 0231; OR
  • U.S. Navy Intelligence Specialist (IS); OR
  • U.S. Air Force 1N771, 1N471B or 1N490, 7S091
• Active TS/SCI
• Multiple deployments to different AORs
• Superb communication skills, both written and verbal
• Proficient at briefing senior leadership at the O-6 level or higher
• Proficient in utilizing advanced computer applications and intelligence related automation to support analytical efforts and product development
• Expert knowledge in the following areas: SWA regional issues and political analysis
• Must meet all existing foreign government age/education restrictions for deployment.
