Job Title: Project Coordinator (Full-Time)
Work Location: Remote ******* Must reside within commutable distance to New York City to attend meetings as necessary.******
Pay Range: $55-58K
Work Schedule: Anticipated schedule will be 11AM-7PM or 12PM-8PM. Must have flexibility to different hours based on business needs.
Position Summary:
This position supports the LIS’ language services portfolio. Under the supervision of the Program Manager, this individual will be primarily responsible for sourcing and coordinating interpreters for conferences, meetings, and events; processing interpreter timesheets; working within the company’s personnel management system; and providing onsite support as needed.
The role operates within a structured contract-management framework that emphasizes compliance, responsiveness, quality assurance, cost control, and client satisfaction.
Additional Duties:
- Monitor, receive, and promptly respond to client tasking via email and other communication platforms using professional tone and clear, grammatically correct language.
- Maintain, update, audit, and manage company databases and record systems, including real-time data entry and tracking.
- Identify and assign the most qualified interpreters for each engagement based on language combinations, scheduling requirements, client specifications, availability, and cost considerations.
- Travel as necessary within the service area to provide onsite coordination and client support.
- Support the Program Manager in administering, monitoring, and ensuring compliance with contractual requirements and service-level standards.
- Recruit and maintain a steady pipeline of qualified local interpreters to meet ongoing and anticipated service needs.
- Assist in the development, editing, packaging, and submission of proposals, quotes, estimates, and business reports, including research of internal records and data.
- Provide administrative support to the assigned portfolio, including scheduling, phone communication, document preparation, records management, and internal reporting.
- Liaise and coordinate with internal departments, including Finance, Recruiting, Human Resources, and Security, to ensure seamless service delivery and contract compliance.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum 3–5 years of relevant professional experience in language services, interpretation coordination, or project coordination/management.
- Strong computer proficiency, including independent use of MS Office applications (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams, etc.).
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities with exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong problem assessment skills and ability to resolve issues collaboratively within a team environment.
- Must reside within reasonable proximity to NYC and be able to attend regularly scheduled and impromptu onsite meetings.
- Ability to successfully pass a background check.
- Compliance with applicable workplace health and safety requirements, as required by client or contract.
